FarmBox is our CSA program at The Potato Project. In a Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA), individuals and families team up with a local farm by agreeing to purchase something called a “share” that consists of a weekly box of produce, curated by the farmers, with a 6-8 item variety of useful, in season crops. At The Potato Project, FarmBox shares are offered in four 13-week seasons, and are comparable in price to similar items purchased from area grocery stores. A CSA allows the farmer to better plan their planting and harvest schedules, and removes the costs associated with transporting and marketing their products off-farm. This cost savings allows the farm to offer the shares at prices that bring these healthy foods into an affordable range. A FarmBox share offers families a simple and cost-effective way to incorporate healthy, local, and sustainable food into their weekly menu!
A FarmBox share includes 13 weekly boxes that are picked up on an assigned pick-up day at our farm just outside of downtown Shelby.
A seasonal share for FarmBox is $325 ($25 per week) and must be paid for 14 days prior to the first pickup for that season.

One of the primary goals of The Potato Project is to make our harvest accessible to the ENTIRE COMMUNITIY and with generous support from local partners we are able to do just that!
For some folks $25 a week is perfectly accessible, but to many in our community it is totally out of reach… If you or your family would like to sign up for FarmBox, but the $25 a week is holding you back, PLEASE REACH OUT TO US. Thanks to donations from local partners, we are able to offer many of our same FarmBox shares a reduced prices. Based on household size and income, we have farm shares available for weekly costs of $20, $15, $10, $5, and even FREE!
